The Rose is here for you, to help you through your journey
Reports are beginning to show that not only is there a new population with no insurance because of the pandemic, but there is also a large number of people delaying their mammograms as a result. The impact of these delays will have devastating outcomes.
We recently sat down with Dr. Jennifer Litton, Vice President of Clinical Research and Professor of Breast Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center to discuss the pressing needs of our community. “The Rose is a trusted source for so many people who don't know where to turn. They know it's always there and feel safe using it,” Dr. Litton shares, “Houston is very lucky.”
Our patient navigation program is continuously navigating local women and men through treatment after receiving a frightful diagnosis. “Having a trusted person who knows how you should go about your next steps and having someone to turn to and help you through that in a time when it's so scary, is one of the most important things that I've seen The Rose really be so successful in doing,” shares Dr. Litton.
But, we couldn’t do all of this without your help. We must do what we can do now, and with your support, we will.
