Grant Writer

Responsibilities

The Grant Writer is responsible for developing materials and writing proposals to corporate foundations, foundations and governmental entities to secure financial resources for The Rose. This position works closely with the Chief Development Officer to ensure that all grants accurately convey the mission and vision of The Rose; meet revenue goals, and to constantly evaluate ways to improve upon all grant proposals.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Prefer two to four years of fund development experience.
  • Demonstrated success in proposal submissions.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong grant writing skills.
  • Ability to independently develop well-written proposals based on prospect interest and The Rose’s strategic objectives.
  • Knowledge of the techniques and tools available for foundation and corporation research.
  • Ability to research prospects.
  • Full working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Initiates and has the ability to work independently.
  • Organized, energetic, flexible, detail-oriented and computer proficient.

Registered Mobile Mammography Technologist

Seeking a full-time registered mammography technologist to join our Mobile Mammography team. The technologist travels with our mobile coaches to various service locations throughout Harris and surrounding Texas counties to provide mobile mammography services to patients. Requirements include an Associates of Applied Science Degree or equivalent training/graduation from an accredited school of radiology, a current Texas Department of State Health Service license, a mammography certification with the America Registry of Radiologic Technologist, and a current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Must have one year experience in a fast paced breast center and be bilingual (English/Spanish). Healthcare benefits and a matching 401(k) program are available.

Accounts Payable/General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities

• Process weekly invoices and checks.
• Create and maintain all vendor files including invoices, statements, and proof of payment.
• Follow up with vendors as needed.
• Process all patient and insurance refund checks.
• Remote deposit all checks received through the mail and from the development department.
• Record all deposits received from the business office into accounting system
• Reconcile deposits at month-end
• Run financial reports at month-end and disburse to appropriate departments.
• Assist with month-end close, including general ledger entries.
• Assist with annual audits and budget.
• Create and maintain unclaimed property files and prepare annual unclaimed property report.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
Attention to detail, data entry/general math skills, good written and verbal communication skills, organization, problem-solving, and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

PC proficiency, including MS Office.

Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable/general ledger experience is required. Associates degree preferred.

Scheduler, Galleria Location

Seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced scheduler to join our team. Candidates must present a courteous and professional image on the phone and in person. This position answers phone calls from patients to schedule appointments, collects all necessary patient information needed prior to the appointment, gives patient instructions about the information required before the appointment and helps patients with any questions about our services and facilities. A high school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of medical office scheduling experience is required. Must possess computer skills and must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
